17:08 < rxr> good morning mnemoc
17:08 < mnemoc> morning rxr :)
17:09 < rxr> what is your local time? 9 o'clock or so? ;-)
17:09 < rxr> I think I need soem TZ=... xclock's on my desktop ;-)
17:10 < mnemoc> hey!, i have been googleing about massification in europe and i haven't found anything usefull (only limux) i guess i'm using the wrong keyword... can you suggest some?
17:10 < mnemoc> 11:10
17:10 < mnemoc> that's the problem of living in UTC :p
17:10 < rxr> I have some politic project in mind
17:11 < rxr> there is linux in munich and in the berlin "budenstag" parliament or so ...
17:11 < mnemoc> budenstag?
17:12 < valentin> bundestag
17:12 < valentin> = parliament
17:12 < valentin> see you later .. have to leave now
17:12 < mnemoc> thx valentin and cu
17:13 < rxr> there is linux on walmart (--typos) in the US super-stores ...
17:13 < mnemoc> yes?
17:14 < rxr> http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=106562&path=0%3A3944%3A3951%3A41937%3A86796%3A106562
17:14 < mnemoc> rxr: budenstag stuff is from 2002.... is it alive or frozen?
17:15 < rxr> I think they migrated all mail server stuff or so
17:15 < rxr> and are now happy that finally all mail arrives - I heared ;-)
17:15 < rxr> there are also new projects .. there was something some months ago
17:16 < rxr> munich is very recent
17:16 < rxr> then my berlin district was in the news - Berlin Schoeneberg is looking in migratin office desktops ...
17:16 < mnemoc> limux is only for administration or for 'people' too?
17:16 < rxr> some other stuff in my mind:
17:16 < rxr> the sixt car rental converted to linux on all desktops or so in 1996
17:17 < rxr> here in germany
17:17 < rxr> then there was the city Schwäbisch Hall that did migrated to Linux arround 2000 or so
17:18 < rxr> I think the discussion whether to migrate the end-user desktops in the bundesrat (==german paliament) is still ongoing
17:18 < rxr> I think the most recent consensus was that each individual politican can choose or so ...
17:19 < rxr> the KDE project is very active lobbying their kgroupware stuff with integrated Mail security (OpenPGP and co) to politicans - I think they get payed by the german institute for data security for that work ...
17:19 < rxr> and so on ...
17:19 < mnemoc> nice :)
17:19 < rxr> just some random brain dump -> /me continuing my x.org artice ...
17:20 < rxr> it needs to be finished in -8 hours ...
17:20 < mnemoc> -8, you are plenty of time :)
17:33 < rxr> yep ;-)
17:33 < rxr> I hope my random dump is a help ..
17:42 < mnemoc> sure
17:42 < mnemoc> you gave me good 'tips'
