00:00 < Postal> odd, it does not have the usual BUILD ERROR after the actual make output protion
00:00 < mnemoc_> that looks like a missing header
00:01 < Postal> header of what?
00:01 < mnemoc_> .h
00:02 < Postal> Right but what file would the header file belong to
00:03 < Postal> qt3 and arts failed...
00:04 < Postal> arts because of qt3 though
00:05 < mnemoc_> you should stop your build
00:05 < Postal> ok
00:05 < Postal> arts and qt3 are important then enough then?
00:05 < Postal> i dont plan to install kde
00:07 < rxr> arts in the minimal desktop ?
00:07 < Postal> apparently
00:08 < mnemoc_> qt in the minimal desktop?
00:08 < rxr> ?
00:08 < rxr> neither should be in it I think ...
00:08 < mnemoc_> xfce4 is good for minimal desktop :p
00:08 < rxr> I think the selection template contains neither ...
00:08 < rxr> only bare x at the moment ..
00:09 < rxr> maybe s.th. got misconfigured on Postal box ...
00:09 < Postal> maybe
00:09 < rxr> when you run Config
00:09 < rxr> how many active packages are listed in the top right corner ?
00:09 < Postal> i selected minimal+xorg+desktop
00:09 < Postal> hmm
00:10 < Postal> 191
00:10 < rxr> when you grep ^X config/yours/packages
00:10 < rxr> are arts and qt under the ones listed by grep ?
00:10 < mnemoc_> | wc -l
00:11 < Postal> X -----5---- 127.000 kde qt 3.3.4 / extra/development 0
00:11 < Postal> X -----5---- 127.100 kde arts 1.4.0-rc1 / extra/desktop/kde 0

00:23 < rxr> I have changed the xorg font path right now ...
00:25 < Postal> ok hold on
00:25 < Postal> and about qt3?
00:26 < Postal> there has been a qt3 patch scince my last svn up so maybe it works now
00:26 < Postal> prehaps it was one of mipes?
00:28 < rxr> have you your xorg build running ?
00:29 < Postal> yeah but its building dietlibc right now
00:29 < rxr> 5-dietlibc ?
00:29 < Postal> 0 and 1 at the moment, i am sure 5 is comming lol
00:29 < rxr> why is 0-dietlibc build ?
00:29 < rxr> did you start a full new build ?
00:30 < Postal> no just svn up, its building dietlibc 3 now
00:30 < Postal> dietlibc has not built up until now. ie it was not in the template
00:30 < rxr> ah ...
00:30 < rxr> puh
00:31 < rxr> and you removed the xorg log ?
00:31 < rxr> qt failed due to missing mng ...
00:31 < rxr> why did libmng ffail ?
00:34 -!- mnemoc [~amery@200.75.27.10] has joined #t2
00:39 < mnemoc> re
00:39 < rxr> hi
00:40 < mnemoc> qt thing solved?
00:40 < rxr> no answer yet

00:44 < rxr> mnemoc: any OOO progress ?
00:44 < mnemoc> icu failed :(

00:45 < mnemoc> their 'magic' system stinks
00:45 < rxr> magic what ?

00:46 < mnemoc> they mix 168 modules
00:46 < rxr> nice
00:46 < mnemoc> they have their own glibc!
00:46 < rxr> what ?
00:47 < mnemoc> if their make is not happy with system glibc they use a hacked one
00:47 < rxr> oh my god
00:47 < mnemoc> same for gcc, boost, mozilla, etc...
00:47 < mnemoc> brb
00:47 < rxr> what ?

00:49 < CIA-9> rene * r7149 /trunk/package/gnome2/vte/vte.desc: * updated vte (0.11.11 -> 0.11.12)
00:50 < rxr> isn't there a sanitized OOO out ?
00:50 < rxr> that is 400MB less in size ?
00:51 < mnemoc> i guess i'll have to sanitize this
00:51 < rxr> please don't check a 400MB patch in
00:51 < rxr> This patch removes all the stuff we have in our repositories anyway.
00:53 < CIA-9> rene * r7150 /trunk/package/editors/ (2 files in 2 dirs):
00:53 < CIA-9> * updated emacs-xemacs-shared [V] tag according xemacs version

00:58 < mnemoc> rxr: i sanitization should be a custmain

02:39 < CIA-9> amery * r7155 /trunk/package/develop/libmspack/libmspack.desc: * updated libmspack (20040308 -> 2005-02-28)
02:39 < keinek> now i would like have one super computer for compiling T2

02:42 < keinek> how many stage have T2?
02:42 < keinek> now is in the stage 0
02:44 < keinek> mnemoc, everbody is sleeping?
02:44 < Postal> i am awake
02:45 < keinek> good
02:45 < keinek> and the rest?
02:45 < Postal> there are 9 stages... but only 8 are actually preformed, the ninth is a rebuild of all of the packages and is only and option that has to be enabled in the config, and is only for pariniod peopel
02:46 < keinek> ok, is for compiling all without the guess system?
02:46 < Postal> ...?
02:47 < keinek> i said, compiling all sources with the new gcc previus compile?
02:48 < keinek> whatever... what rebuild all then?
02:49 < Postal> yes, it cross compiles its own toolchain in stage 0, uses that toolchain to build the actual tools to build in stage 1, in stages 2 and three, the base system are built, stage 4 is there for historical resons, stage 5 is where the main packages are built 6,7,8 are final packages... all errors after stage 4 are considered non critical and can be ignored
02:49 < Postal> and stage 9 (optional) is a rebuild of everything that you have already built... used to test the system....
02:49 < keinek> ok
02:50 < keinek> in the stage 4 i will have errors?
02:51 < mnemoc> no
02:51 < mnemoc> only since stage 5
02:52 < keinek> ok... now is in stage 1 :P
02:53 < mnemoc> have you seen any error or warning message until now?
02:53 < keinek> no, is fine
03:02 < Postal> I use a 64 bit machine, so my errors will probably not match yours
03:02 < Postal> stage 5 is the longest stage, it tends to be where most errors will be found
03:06 < keinek> ok, but i can be ignore that
03:06 < Postal> well, yes, but if it is a package that you need, or want, you may not want to ignore it...
03:19 < Postal> mnemoc, you alive over there?
03:21 < mnemoc> yep
03:22 < Postal> qt3 and what not still err out

19:17 < rxr> dietlibc is only used for some of the boot tools ...
19:19 < mipe> ah ok
19:43 < mipe> hmm,have to do some school stuff,back tomorrow,and hopefully fix the "get past 2-gcc"
