10:39 < Baldzius> good morning :)
10:39 < misl> morning Baldzius
10:40 < Baldzius> hi misl :)
10:40 < rxr> moin Baldzius
10:41 < Baldzius> moin rxr :)
10:49 < misl> rxr: Where can I find the errorlogs of your build? I already deleted the e-mail.
10:49 < Baldzius> misl: http://ec-outpost.dyndns.org/t2-errs/
10:49 < rxr> misl: my build at home?
10:50 < rxr> http://ec-outpost.dyndns.org/t2-errs/
10:50 < misl> yepp that's the one :)
10:53 < rxr> == 10:03:42 =[5]=> Building develop/gdb [6.3 2.2.0-alpha].
10:53 < rxr> == 10/22/05 10:59:41 =[5]=> Finished building package gdb.
10:53 < Baldzius> misl: use head as there quite big number of fixed packages
10:54 < misl> Baldzius: I already did svn up :)
10:54 < Baldzius> :)
10:58 < misl> is CIA broken again? My update is not showing up.
10:59 < rxr> misl: my mail server is disabled right now
10:59 < misl> ahh, yes you mentioned it before.
11:01 < rxr> hm - though know that I think about it - that mail should have been generated
11:01 < rxr> since it is sent out
11:01 < rxr> let me investigate
11:06 < CIA-15> msluis * r12780 /trunk/package/java/commons-lang/commons-lang.desc:
11:06 < CIA-15> * Modified build priority since commons-cli witht the same prio
11:06 < CIA-15> requires commons-lang.
11:07 < rxr> should work again
11:07 < rxr> though my MTA update is not yet complete - I finally want to configure the per-domain and virtual domains correctly
11:07 < rxr> so people can not post to t2@falk-huebner.de and so on ...
11:08 < rxr> or mail to mnemoc with mnemoc@exactcode.de or what t2-project.org alias he has ,-)
11:08 < rxr> and also to not spam filter forwarded mails - since mnemoc complained some customer mails got lost in the spam filter that he wanted to receive via his t2-project alias ...
11:08 < rxr> that is much tinkering work for today
11:16 < CIA-15> msluis * r12781 /trunk/package/java/maven/maven.desc: * updated maven (2.0-beta-1 -> 2.0)
11:30 < misl> I am off for some family quality time, cu all later :)
11:30 < rxr> cu misl
11:30 < rxr> have fun and greetings ,-)
11:31 < misl> thanks!
11:32 < rxr> the T2 list will soon only be reachable using t2*@t2-project.org
11:32 < rxr> in some hours t2*@exactcode.de will no longer work and bounce
11:44 < CIA-15> rene * r12782 /trunk/package/base/gcc/gcc.conf:
11:44 < CIA-15> * improved gcc to build libmudflap only in stage 2 and up - for some
11:44 < CIA-15> reason in fails to link in some cross build configurations and we
11:44 < CIA-15> do not really need it that early (if at all)
11:58 < CIA-15> aldas * r12783 /trunk/package/network/netperf/netperf.desc: * updated netperf (2.3pl1 -> 2.4.1)
12:11 < CIA-15> rene * r12784 /trunk/package/mail/exim/exim.conf: * improved exim to include the dsearch lookup by default - often needed
12:12 -!- misl [n=chatzill@82-217-66-150.cable.quicknet.nl] has quit [Read error: 110 (Connection timed out)]
12:16 < CIA-15> rene * r12785 /trunk/package/x11/xscreensaver/xscreensaver.desc: * updated xscreensaver (4.21 -> 4.23)
12:17 < CIA-15> rene * r12786 /trunk/misc/archive/Update.sh: * fixed misc/archive/Update.sh to correctly lower-case the arguments
12:18 < CIA-15> rene * r12787 /trunk/scripts/Create-PkgUpdPatch: * fixed Create-PkgUpdPatch to correctly lowercase the arguments, likewise

12:36 < misl> That was some short quality family time :)
12:37 < misl> It will be continued when my son wakes up.
12:37 < rxr> ,-)
12:37 < rxr> misl: do you want a @t2-project.org address?
12:38 < misl> sure
12:38 < rxr> minto@ ?
12:39 < misl> :) yes
12:40 < rxr> forwarding to?
12:41 < misl> minto@multimach.com
12:42 < misl> rxr: regarding the sparc and other architectures
12:42 < misl> maybe we could focus on cross builds first
12:43 < misl> noisy could be used for that. And when we have proper cross builds for these archs we could try to find sponsors for the hardware.
12:43 < rxr> seems to work
12:43 < rxr> misl: as soon as I open the smtp port in the firewall again it should be reachable from the outside
12:43 < misl> yepp I got it
12:44 < rxr> but first I need some more testing and teaking the ACL rules to not SPAM filter mail that are forwarded - so mnemoc does no longer loose customer mails sent to @t2-project.org ... ,-)
12:44 < rxr> misl: cross building everything is a non-trivial problem - because so many packages and their configure scripts / Makefiles are so broken
12:45 < misl> :(
12:45 < rxr> also we need to improve the T2 cross build toolchain to to create a C++ cross compiler to be able to built more cross
12:45 < rxr> though that is high on my TODO
12:46 < rxr> this is a bit tricky since that need the C library in place and the C library needs a C cross compiler and that does not fit too well into the existing package built order
12:46 < rxr> the best would be to build : CC, libC, C++ - but I took a look - gcc does not really alow building just the C++ compiler as far as I have seen
12:46 < rxr> however that would be rather handy to have a gcc, g++, gcj, gfortran package to build then on-demand
12:47 < rxr> but I fear gcc is not with us to seperate it in such a way
12:47 < misl> hmm, tricky indeed
12:47 < rxr> if we could build g++ apart from the rest of gcc it would be trivial to get a g++ cross compiler with the existing stage and priority setup
12:47 < rxr> just inject g++ in stage 1 right behind glibc ...
12:52 < misl> rxr: is there a script to get the priorities of depending packages?
12:52 < misl> If I look at the kaffe.cache is see its dependancies. I would like to know the build priorities of these dependancies.
12:53 < misl> If these is nothing like this, I might created it.
12:54 < Baldzius> misl: that would be nice :)
12:55 < misl> I need to it be able to set up proper build priorities for loads of java packages :)
13:09 < rxr> there have been some historic scripts in scripts/ that do so - Check-Deps* and so on
13:09 < rxr> some are already removed
13:09 < rxr> misl: our goal is to get rid of the static dependency and determine the build order on-the-fly
13:09 < rxr> valentin started some C++ dependency checker in source/
13:10 < rxr> source/dependency
13:10 < misl> I will have a look
13:10 < Baldzius> hm problems with email again? or cia is dead
13:11 < rxr> Baldzius: I still reconfigure and test the MTA
13:12 < Baldzius> ok
13:15 < CIA-15> aldas * r12788 /trunk/package/network/plptools/plptools.desc: * updated plptools (0.13 -> 0.14)
