10:09 * rxr wonders why this fresh Leopard install fills my log with: 30.10.07 10:07:39 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.dyld) Throttling respawn: Will start in 60 seconds
10:15 < rxr> juche
10:15 < rxr> after over 16 work hours our damn NSTokenField works under Leopard
10:15 < rxr> probably one of the most expensive bugs to fix
10:16 < rxr> ok - probably after the "our driver causes an immediate kernel freeze on the Intel Macs when they came out ...

10:19 < rxr> heh - I think Apple should hand a free iPhone for every developer coding for Mac OS X - that would at least compensate some of the pain
10:26 < Negher> It would be a great idea rxr.
10:28 < rxr> yeah
10:28 < rxr> moin Negher
10:50 < Negher> Hi rxr.
10:50 < Negher> Sorry, was in Datacenter to solve some problems ;).
11:00 < rxr> :-)
11:08 < Negher> What news are there with T2 ?
11:17 < rxr> heh - the news from the Homepage ?
11:17 < rxr> http://www.t2-project.org/
11:17 < rxr> we probably should spin a 7.0-rc2 soon and a final in Nov. likewise
11:17 < Negher> News in general abount the project, not necessarly on the homepage.
11:17 < Negher> Good.
11:18 < Negher> I was looking for a source based distribution to use, seems I found something more.
11:18 < Negher> I'm now using Sourcemage.
11:19 < Negher> But it gives me some problems.
11:22 < Negher> I tried Gentoo, but I found it not a "straight forward" distribution for me.
11:22 < Negher> I come from Arch Linux, I'm for simple things.
11:28 < rxr> :-)
11:28 < rxr> yeah - have you gave t2 a try ?
11:29 < Negher> I'm downloading now.
11:29 < Negher> Seemed to me very solid, it gives the impression of having everything under control
11:31 < Negher> I used also the snapshot of the sources, as I hadn't subversion installed.
11:34 < Negher> Downloading takes a bit as I can't find an online mirror near my country.

14:13 < Negher> Hi Codex.
14:14 < Negher> I'm lurking also on the SourceMage channel.
14:15 < Codex> so, Negher
14:15 < Negher> Tell me.
14:16 < Codex> you told you have some probs with smgl, and don't like it
14:16 < Codex> which ones? :>
14:19 < Codex> ghrm
14:20 < Codex> tell you what?
14:21 < Negher> You began the question ... I was saying you could ask me everything you want ;).
14:21 < Negher> I'm haveing many troubles compiling some particular softwares.
14:22 < Codex> @ smgl? huh
14:22 < Negher> *having
14:22 < Codex> which ones?
14:22 < Negher> For example virtualbox, qemu, grdesktop just to name a few.
14:22 < Negher> And in general that was a feeling I got using it.
14:23 < Negher> All of the source based distribution I tried were great.
14:24 < Negher> Do you find it suiting your needs, Codex ?

14:45 < Codexx> [16:21'21] Negher> All of the source based distribution I tried were great.
14:45 < Codexx> [16:22'43] Negher> Do you find it suiting your needs, Codex ?
14:45 < Codexx> [16:23'39] Codex> hmm
14:45 < Codexx> [16:23'59] Codex> didn't you try to ask the dev-team 'bout it? :)
14:45 < Codexx> [16:24'11] Codex> or maybe don't you want try lunar? :)
14:45 < Codexx> [16:24'25] Codex> it's source-based also.
14:45 < Codexx> [16:25'10] Codex> i like T2 cause it's THE UNIVERSE for the developer to create his OWN os :)
14:45 -!- Codexx is now known as Codex
14:50 < Negher> I like that too.
15:08 -!- write_erase [n=olivier@81.80.156.36] has joined #t2
16:47 < Negher> Just as an information: how many time do I have to compile gcc and glibc ?
17:16 < rxr> for a full native build glibc is build 2 times
17:17 < rxr> gcc 3 times or so
17:17 < rxr> but that are not 3 full builds
17:17 < rxr> if you build gcc manually it builds itself 3 times or so, and the rebuilds in t2 disable this step already
17:17 < rxr> and th first builds are C/C++ compiler only, only the last flavour spends all the time building the C++ stdlibc++, objc and Java ...
17:18 < rxr> so all in all it is the same time as a manual build + the little prebuilding for the clean toolchain bootstrap

19:09 < Ragnarin> rxr: who's the (no author) in the commit list? his/her commit descriptions are totally useless
19:11 < rxr> probably deekey or so
19:11 < rxr> need to add it to the ChangeLog parser
19:12 < rxr> with svn log -r you see the real comit auth name
19:14 < Ragnarin> denisk

19:18 < Ragnarin> yes

19:19 < rxr> new style (works only since svn 1.3 or so)
