13:29 < DeeKey> rxr: I remember you mentioned oned day, that it is possible to build the package for a general purpose distributive (Ubuntu, Suse, REDHAT, fedora and etc) I want to compile a new patched linux kernel and a few other programs, which do not depend on anything else exept kenrel.
13:30 < DeeKey> As far as I understand I need to create a separate target.
13:32 < DeeKey> No, I was wrong. The program depends on each other. That is why I think that i need to create a target. Otherwise I dont know how to resolve dependenies in T2.
13:33 < tfl0pz> hi
13:33 < DeeKey> hello
13:44 < tfl0pz> well i have a problem mounting a partition rw from the init script.. it gets mounted ro then I try to remount it - if i do a mount -o remount,rw - the machine freezes, if i do umount and then mount -o rw then mount says 'no such device'
13:45 < tfl0pz> i must be missing something
13:46 < tfl0pz> (machine is t2-7.0-rc2 partition in question is regular ext3 partition)
13:50 < DeeKey> hmm... what does your /etc/fstb says?
13:50 < DeeKey> /etc/fstab
13:52 < tfl0pz> i dont have a fstab at this point it gets mounted from a unionfs later
13:53 < DeeKey> hmm did you mount proc?
13:53 < tfl0pz> yep
13:54 < DeeKey> it is a local disk? or nfs?
13:54 < tfl0pz> the one i'm trying to mount is a local disk yes
14:09 < DeeKey> Have you included the needed file system tou your build?!
14:15 < tfl0pz> i fixed it
14:15 < DeeKey> What was the problem?
14:16 < tfl0pz> specifying the filesystem type was crucial
14:16 < tfl0pz> :)
14:16 < DeeKey> in the command?
14:16 < DeeKey> yes actually it is :)
14:17 < DeeKey> I thought the problem was much deeper...
14:17 < tfl0pz> me too :))

17:20 < tfl0pz> hm
17:20 < DeeKey> new problem?
17:20 < tfl0pz> i'm trying to mount rw an image file which is ext3/ext2 file system bound to loop1
17:20 < tfl0pz> mount says permission denied
17:21 < tfl0pz> any ideas?
17:21 < tfl0pz> :)
17:21 < DeeKey> run as root!
17:21 < tfl0pz> well
17:21 < tfl0pz> i am root :)
17:21 < tfl0pz> i can mount it ro
17:21 < DeeKey> glad to meet you :)
17:21 < tfl0pz> heheh
17:22 < tfl0pz> i have full acces to the image file.. and to the mount point..
17:25 < DeeKey> maybe still the wrong mount command?
