00:43 < mqueiros_> Peter_g: You can build your own distro with T2, using Ubuntu, Fedora, or any other...
00:44 < mqueiros_> but you might get into some problems. If you can, you should try using T2 to build your own distro.
01:14 < Peter_g> mqueiros_: Alright, so I should download the .iso and build it from there? Which iso?
01:27 < mqueiros_> Peter_g: let me check...
01:29 < mqueiros_> if you want to install T2 get one ISO from... 7.0-rc2
01:30 < mqueiros_> if you just want to build using you current distro just follow this: http://www.t2-project.org/documentation/buildintro.html
01:41 < Peter_g> I don't want to compile T2....I want to use T2 to compile my own system
01:43 < mqueiros_> yes... buildintro will allow you to do that...
01:43 < Peter_g> mqueiros_: Great, thanks a lot
01:44 < mqueiros_> you will be able to choose the packages you will have in you system. You won't be compiling T2...
01:44 < Peter_g> If it's only 200mb, where does it get all the packages from?
01:44 < Peter_g> Also, will I be able to include the latest packages?
01:45 < mqueiros_> the iso won't get you all the packages... only the necessary to have a working linux distro.
01:45 < Peter_g> Where can I get the packages? Over the internet directly from T2?
01:46 < mqueiros_> You can check all the packages T2 has got, and versions, here: http://www.t2-project.org/packages/
01:46 < mqueiros_> yes you can have the packages over the internet.

15:32 < Peter_g> Hi. I'd like to build a custom distribution using t2/stone, but without installing it on the computer that's doing the building. How is this possible?
15:51 < rxr> when you build a whole target (scripts/Build-Target) the build is done in a sandbox seperated form the building system
15:52 < rxr> if you want to install like other os's you can let T2 build an live or install cd
15:52 < rxr> if you want to have it fully automatic, you can use a script to rsync (et al.) the build sandbox result to some HD, Flash, etc.
15:53 < rxr> or if you create an embedded system create a rom image etc.
16:04 < Peter_g> rxr: I see. I've downloaded the live CD. I boot it, and get a minimalist linux distribution. All I see is a bash shell. What steps should I take to build the custom system?
