09:52 < jncneo> mpp: morning!
09:53 < mpp> morning
09:53 < mpp> jncneo
09:53 < mpp> :-)
09:56 < jncneo> mpp: i have a question :)
09:56 < mpp> go ahead
09:56 < jncneo> mpp: is there any way to change package list of target from the config script?
09:57 < mpp> what do you mean exactly ?
09:57 < mpp> modifying - no
09:57 < mpp> adding - yes
09:57 < mpp> i think
09:57 < mpp> i'll have to check
09:57 < jncneo> how can i add?
09:58 < mpp> enable export mode
09:59 < jncneo> expert?
09:59 < jncneo> enabled
09:59 < mpp> chose edit package selection rules
10:00 < mpp> add new rule like:
10:00 < mpp> X firefox
10:00 < jncneo> ah.. ok thanks
10:00 < mpp> or even repo wildcard
10:00 < mpp> X xorg/*
10:00 < mpp> all pkgs
10:00 < mpp> X */*
10:00 < jncneo> now i'm understanding...
10:01 < mpp> ;-)
10:01 < jncneo> one more question... i need a target with minimal number of packages with asterisk+web-server+php. what is the best way to do such target?
10:03 < mpp> embedded ?
10:03 < jncneo> yes
10:03 < mpp> no go there
10:03 < mpp> told you already
10:03 < mpp> sorry
10:03 < jncneo> ah... embedded target?
10:04 < mpp> yep
10:04 < jncneo> ok. thanks. i'll check
10:04 < mpp> do you want an embedded target or ordinary x86 hw
10:04 < mpp> embedded i mean some wrt stuff or the like
10:04 < mpp> you can start with the generic target
10:04 < mpp> minimal
10:05 < jncneo> it would be embedded box with AMD geode CPU
10:05 < mpp> ah
10:05 < mpp> does it run x86 ?
10:06 < jncneo> it is
10:06 < mpp> ah okay
10:06 < mpp> you can choose generic target
10:06 < mpp> select a cpu type of either geode or c7
10:06 < mpp> k7 sorry
10:06 < mpp> the go for a minimal config
10:07 < mpp> ( +1 after the bootstrap selection)
10:07 < jncneo> ok
10:07 < mpp> then you should build fine
10:07 < jncneo> i see thanks...
10:07 < mpp> i ahve build myself in the past for c3 cpus and stuff
10:08 < jncneo> have you eve worked with puppy linux?
10:08 < mpp> as long as it's x86 kinda stuff you will be fine
10:08 < mpp> i know off puppy
10:09 < mpp> heavily modified t2
10:09 < jncneo> i know...
10:09 < mpp> i have my own rescue / live target
10:09 < mpp> not worth it for me
10:09 < mpp> as i keep upstream with many packages
10:09 < mpp> even svn head is behind here
10:11 < jncneo> is there any standart way to make most of system load into RAM during boot? to use hdds as less as possible?
10:15 < mpp> use initramfs for boot
10:16 < mpp> u need to have some serious linux skills to do ALL the tweaking you wan't
10:16 < mpp> just saying to save you some time
10:16 < mpp> kernel boot process rootfs mount stuff etc. etc. etc.
10:17 < mpp> t2 is a build kit
10:17 < mpp> there are distros out there working fine even minimal
10:17 < mpp> e.g.g ubuntu jeos
10:17 < mpp> or you could bootstrap debian on a machine and add strictly dependen packages
10:18 < jncneo> i now using pico debian on this boxes...
10:19 < jncneo> and i have some experience using linux.. and i have some time :)
10:20 < mpp> k than have fun :-)

11:34 < mpp> !!!
11:34 < csiadmin> yep I did
11:34 < mpp> cool
11:35 < mpp> i also reworked
11:35 < mpp> the installer
11:35 < mpp> and have made a git clone of the svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk
11:35 < mpp> makes life easier to keep track with upstream
11:35 < csiadmin> yeah - thought you where on vacation!
11:35 < mpp> had some serious issues in my previous syncing strategy
11:35 < mpp> i am
11:36 < mpp> recreational computing

11:36 < mpp> gives me the chill !
