17:13 < rxr> re
17:19 < Grumpywolfe> I have checked the T2-project home page and it says that xorg-server-1.9.4 does compile is this correct
17:29 < rxr> I guess
17:30 < rxr> what kind of error do you get?
17:32 < Grumpywolfe> udev.c:(.text+0xced): undefined reference to `udev_unref'
17:32 < Grumpywolfe> collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
17:32 < Grumpywolfe> make[4]: *** [Xorg] Error 1
17:32 < Grumpywolfe> the list is all like the first line and there is many of them
17:33 < Grumpywolfe> one person sujested it was a inconpatabilty between xorg and udev
17:33 < Grumpywolfe> udev-166 compiled fine
17:34 < Grumpywolfe> btw I am new to T2
17:35 < rxr> well, udev is picky on any disttribution as it kept changing all the time, ...
17:35 < rxr> with t2 (or gentoo or so) you just got to notice as you build the stuff yourself
17:36 < Grumpywolfe> so may need to downgrade the udev so best way to do that
17:36 < rxr> do not think you need to downgrade, rather upgrade udev
17:36 < rxr> which version did you got installed?
17:36 < Grumpywolfe> udev-166
17:37 < rxr> you really got that one installed without any error=?
17:37 < Grumpywolfe> I will cherk again to be sure give a sec
17:39 < Grumpywolfe> yes udev-166 on a x68 desktop system for i686
17:39 < Grumpywolfe> but with the errors to xorg it may not be right
17:47 < Grumpywolfe> ok I edit the desktop/pkgsel to include xfce but ./scripts/
17:48 < Grumpywolfe> ./scripts/Download -required is not downloading the packages
17:48 < CIA-79> rene * r38891 /trunk/ (misc/share/REGISTER scripts/Check-PkgFormat): * added GPL3 to the list of known licenses
17:48 < CIA-79> rene * r38892 /trunk/package/xorg/xorg-server/xorg-server.desc: * updated xorg-server (1.9.4 -> 1.9.5)
17:49 < CIA-79> rene * r38893 /trunk/package/network/rsync/rsync.desc: * updated rsync (3.0.7 -> 3.0.8)
17:49 < rxr> Grumpywolfe: I think I get the same xorg-server in the default config
17:49 < rxr> guess I have to hunt that incompatibility soon
17:50 < rxr> I can imagine that it may be related to our static udev version that is picked up instead of the dynamic glibc shared object
17:50 < Grumpywolfe> let me know when you find the anser will you I am on the t2 mailing list
17:51 < Grumpywolfe> or would upgrading to the 1.9.5 xorg maybe fix the problem
17:53 < rxr> nope, I think it is a problem of all new servers needing udev and picking the wrong flavour
17:53 < Grumpywolfe> ok will have to wait then so how do I add the xfce to the build sytem
17:54 < rxr> do you emerge onto your system or build a target for a CD ?
17:56 < Grumpywolfe> I am using the t2 to build all the system files I need the using the woof build system by Barry to build the iso but when I added the files I wanted to the desktop/pkgsel file it will not download the files
17:58 < Grumpywolfe> need to build a target
18:01 < orici> rxr: fyi - i pasted a patch above
18:02 < orici> just in case ...
18:02 < rxr> ah, thanks
18:02 < rxr> I was out of the office today
18:02 < rxr> and moved the office, so I'm on a weak wifi until the beginning of next week, so I indeed missed the line :-) Thanks!
18:02 < orici> np
18:40 < CIA-79> rene * r38894 /trunk/package/php/php/php.desc: * updated php (5.3.5 -> 5.3.6)
20:04 < Grumpywolfe> Well I learned by trial and error how to add new files to a build I had to use ./scripts/Cleanup then ./scripts/Download -target and now am running ./scripts/Build-Target
20:05 < Grumpywolfe> sorry that was ./scripts/Download -required
